Kaiju Company, APW Bangsar

Casual dinner on a Friday night with the girls and
this round we decided to try Kaiju Company at APW Bangsar.
I have been seeing a lot of attention on Instagram about the place
so decided to give it a try.
They served Thai - Japanese fusion dishes but the place and ambiance
is really nice especially that dragon hanging above.

I tried to make a reservation however they do not take phone reservation for now.
The place has limited seats so is recommended to avoid peak hour,
or else you might need to wait for a little while.

Airbnb Beijing

I really love the accommodation we stayed in Beijing.
It has been a year and I only decided to share now. #sorry :)

We found this Hutong Penthouse with Terrace View on Airbnb.
The penthouse is huge and split into 2 sessions when you walk in.
First thing you see will be the kitchen area (is right in the middle of the house),
the host stayed on the right side and the left side area will be our home for the next 6 days.
The location of the house is great which easily access to all the main attractions.

We have a proper and spacious living room besides our bedroom (all to ourselves).
There are 3 single beds in the bedroom with 2 attached to each other.
Please view the pictures below for better understanding.

The 2 single beds that attached together. I took this picture in the morning and
I like how the lighting turned out.

This is another section of the bedroom.

This is the dining area and also the entrance to enter the other side of the penthouse where it belongs to the host. Don't ask me how it looks like on the other side.

Our own living room.
It's really spacious and cozy.
We went Beijing during winter and
thank God for heater.

The highlight of our stay will be this humongous bathtub that easily fit 5 to 6 persons.
Of course we only use the shower, not the bathtub.
It would be waste of water. LOL!!!

I love everything about the house, the great location in Hutong which has so many things to see.
But there is one down side of the place, just ONE which is there is NO LIFT.
Keep in mind that the penthouse is on the 6th floor and there is no lift!
Imagine carrying a 15kgs luggage all the way up to 6th floor
and you have to climb the stairs everyday after a long day of exploring outside.

The Awan Villas - Seminyak, Bali

This post is purely about our accommodation in Bali.
My sister found this awesome luxury villa deal on Groupon.

To be frank, the price is a little expensive but trust me,
IT WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY THAT YOU HAVE PAID.
On top of that, you have all the privacy among yourself *AWESOME*.
I think Seminyak is the prefer area if you enjoy less crowd.

Just for your information, Bali is huge and they have so much to offer.
To avoid spending so much time on travelling, pick your priority of the trip and stay as nearer as possible.

Our accommodation also comes with free daily breakfast plus 1 way airport pick up services, free wifi as well as free an hour massage.

Here is our awesome driver who came to pick us up from the airport.
The highlight is they got my sister's name correct which is rare.
Thumb up for that. :)

Checked in and heading to see our villa.

The most excited moment is about to reveal!!!!

Free welcoming drinks while we explore the villa.

TA DAH~~~~
This is FREAKING AWESOME!!
I wish I don't have to leave.
Look at that pool man!!
This is L.I.F.E

Our villa comes with 2 huge ass rooms (1 with a king size bed and the other 1 comes with 2 single beds), a private pool, a living room with TV and a kitchen for you to cook some instant noodles at night. :)

Man!! Now looking back at the pictures really make me want to visit Bali again!

And here is the living room overseeing the pool.

Can you see the white frangipani flowers everywhere?
They smell really good too!

My dad can't wait and get changed then go straight into the pool while I obviously updating my instagram. LOL!!!!

Sooo romantic! Now I understand why do people always go Bali for honeymoon.

The picture below is to show you how it looks like during the night.
Isn't it romantic? Or just me?

Here is the second room with 2 single beds.

All their bathroom come with an outdoor shower as well.

The receptionist there were very helpful.
He is explaining every little things to us.

Not to forget the Villa is really close to all the famous places like Naughty Nuri's Warung (10 to 15 mins walk), Potatoes Head Club, Seminyak Square as well as Ku De Ta (5 to 10 mins drive).

I guess is time to plan another trip down to Bali. :)

Spring & Summer - Bangkok

Confession: I am the worst travel partner ever because I don't usually do the home work before travelling.
Thank God for friend like Xiao Hou for doing all the planning. :)
This is not our first trip together and I'm thankful of her for doing all the planning and research.

She found this awesome restaurant called Spring & Summer in the center of the city.
Spring & Summer is a modern and hipster restaurant that used the theme of two seasons (Spring & Summer) just like the name. As for Spring, you will get to dine inside the building with air condition and for Summer, you will get to chill on the sacco sacks outdoor.

Meanwhile, the plan of the night is to meet up an university friend who has been working in Bangkok for a couple of years.

Selfie while waiting for our taxi at the lobby.

I always love taking picture from the back.
Don't judge.

The taxi driver dropped us at a wrong place and it took us awhile to find the restaurant.
We even walked into a wrong restaurant and only realized it isn't Spring & Summer when they do not have our name on the reservation list. :D
Thank you to Waze for making our life so much easier. LOL!!!

LOOK AT THIS PLACE!!!
This place is sick and I really love it!!!!
It's like the perfect place to chill and hang out except the invasion of mosquitoes.
If you guys are planning to visit this place,
** PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING MOSQUITO REPELLENT**

If you do not like outdoor, they have indoor as well. Don't worry!!
If you plan to visit, please remember to make reservation in advanced to avoid disappointment.

I really love the open air and laying down on the sacco sacks concept!!
We need this in Malaysia? Don't you think so?

And the couple decided to meditate and mentally psycho themselves that there aren't any mosquitoes.
Try harder next time.

From the left: Tenn Sen, Me and Xiao Hou.
Thank you for guiding us the way too! :)

Their menu are inclusive of Asian Cuisine, Thai Cuisine as well as Western Cuisine.
Since I have a crush on Pad Thai and I must order it whenever I see it on the menu.

Here is the Pad Thai with River Prawns

Mushroom Spaghetti

Salmon and Avocado Rice.

Let's dig in!
Overall, I find the food good and tasty.
Just the pricing are at the higher end.
I guess when you visit places like that, you do not just pay for the food, you pay for the ambiance as well.

A group wefie is a must!
Thank you Tenn Sen for coming out to meet us. :)

A proper group picture of the night.

This would be the perfect place to wind down and chill after a long day of shopping!
And it is away from the busy touristy spots.
Something less mainstream as well. LOL!!!!

Below are the details of the restaurant, just in case you guys want to pay a visit. :)

Sister's Graduation Ceremony

OMG!!!!! I have left my blog dead for soooooooo long that I couldn't even remember when was my last post.
I even have this post kept as a draft for years since 2013!!!

Anyway, I decided to clear this post out so I can blog something new and updated.
I will try my best to jot down as much as I can recall. :)

The youngest person in the family has finally graduated and I can hear my dad cheering deep down inside his heart!
He must be popping champagne and thanking God for clearing his burdens. LOL!!!

The graduation ceremony was held at InterContinental Hotel, Jalan Ampang.
The place is actually very small and it is soooo crowded that day.
That size of space is definitely not ideal to cater so many graduates + their family members.
You can hardly get a place to sit down or find a nicer corner to even take a picture.

So many names that it took us awhile to find my sister's name.
(This is definitely not the problem of small eyes, don't try to blame it on my eyes)

And I don't understand why do the flower seller has to charge so much for an artificial flower???!!!!
I know this is the day where you go big or go home, but must you go so big?
R I D I C U L O U S

*advice: NEVER BUY FLOWER AT THE VENUE, GO GET IT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!

Below are some of the pictures that we took on that day.
It is so hard to find a place and take some decent pictures.

This picture should be the one that print it out and hang it on the wall.
How lovely!!!!

Specially requested by Dr. Loi (in his dream). LOL!!!
And he wants this picture to be printed out and hang it up on the wall at home.

Looked like we are attending my dad's graduation ceremony more than my sis's.

So many things have happened since 2013 and I want to jot down as many as I can before I forget everything.
Some of my memories are fading already. :( I blame it on aging.

Since I'm free, I shall blog it more often.
That's all for now. :)
